The Nomads never went out of fashion, but the band did have it's up's and downs in the 1980's & 90's. Band members commitments changed in their personal lives, so there were a number of "last gig" events, this trend has continued to the present day. They have had so many comebacks one starts to wonder if they do it just to get attention (only joking boys).
During the 80's, 90's and early 2000's they had  regular bookings at The Snooty Fox, Bronte Hotel, Three Sisters and the Green Gables and the occasional social, Gas club or wooden hut affair. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays would see the band playing at least one of these venues. The changing of the music licensing laws had a detrimental effect on all of Keighley's bands and pretty soon there was only the Green Gables that was licensed for bands to play, and with the closing of the Gables came the end for many local bands.
